ಆಗ ಯೇಹುವು ತನ್ನ ಜನರಿಗೆ, “ಅವರನ್ನು ಜೀವಸಹಿತ ಹಿಡಿದು ತನ್ನಿ!” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಯೇಹುವಿನ ಜನರು ಅಹಜ್ಯನ ಬಂಧುಗಳನ್ನು ಜೀವಸಹಿತ ಹಿಡಿದು ತಂದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಲವತ್ತೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಜನರಿದ್ದರು. ಯೇಹು ಬೆತ್ಎಕೇಡ್ನ ಬಾವಿಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದನು. ಯೇಹುವು ಯಾರನ್ನೂ ಜೀವಸಹಿತ ಉಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
